Finally got to spend some time catching up on my reading on the patio today. For superheroes and zombies, this is some heart-wrenching stuff. In issue 1, a ragtag group of minor heroes seeks help from Booster Gold yeah, not wh Ok, so Jane Foster has gone from being Thor's sweetie, to actually being Thor, and is now the last Valkyrie. So it was a natural move to bring in those issues. Cath : An important element of this novel is the story and translation of the Draconean tablets, prose akin to ancient Eddas. What were your influences for writing such text? How did you so skillfully manage the discussion of the translation of the work as the characters were considering it? That gave me a footing for asking useful questions of people who specialize in cuneiform and Akkadian, which I used as a basis for the Draconean language. The fingerprints of those are all over what Audrey and Kudshayn translate.

And so did I. Every writer knows that nagging idea that takes hold of your brain and refuses to piss off while you finish that other shiny project on your desk. Some call Los Angeles the City of Dreams. Started that way for me, but wound up a nightmare.
Chris was, himself, one of those people. He never lost his fascination with his adopted state, taking regular, solo roadtrips to visit places that interested him, from the mountains of Northern California to the strange deserts of the Salton Sea.
